Institut Studi Islam Darussalam (ISID) Gontor Pt.3

Introducing you GONTOR PUTRI

The locations for both Gontor Putra & Gontor Putri were different:

Gontor Putra was located at Kampung Baru Siman, Ponorog
Gontor Putri was located at Sambirejo Matingan Ngawi Jawa Timur

This was the Gontor Putri's builidng model.
It was quite a big place, it was pretty like a village and it was complete with everything.
Just like Gontor Putra, Gontor Putri had a place for vistiors to stay too.
We stayed there for 4 days 3 nights but we could not manage to visit all of the places here.

First night being here, we managed to meet these lovely students of Gontor Putri.

They welcomed us happily even though they were actually busy with their examinations.

That was how they studied at night, honestly it was a peaceful night.
It was not noisy at all, they were all well-behaved.

Our first activity here was an Arabic Debate between our university and Gontor's.
It took place at night time.

They were college/university students and fun-fact about them was,
they were working as the teachers as well for the younger students there.

Alright, this one was the examination schedule written in Arabic.

Our second day, we were just walking around here.
It was like strolling around a calming village.

As could be seen, there was a big bell there.
It might be used to call all the students for assembly or any important informations.

And there was also the board of this Pondok Modern Gontor's Motto :

Berbudi Tinggi
Berbadan Sihat
Berpengetahuan Luas
Berfikiran Bebas

As this place was quiet big, they were using bicycles and motorcycles to go around here.
This building was a shop.

This one was the hostel where the female students staying,
and during that time, it was still under construction/renovating to make it larger
as the students were increasing year by year.

This photo was blur but I still wanted to post. Haha
My point was actually to show that the students had a lot of places to relax or hang out with their friends or even do revision.

Our second night here, we had English Debate.
I managed to snap a photo of this amazing view where the students were doing revision at night.
And they were not making any noise at all.
They were very respectful to each other.

Our third day here, before heading to our activity's venue,
we got a chance to meet these happy students.
Behind them was their room, it could accommodate 20 students.

For me, the most attractive thing here was this charcoal iron.
Yes, they were using these irons for their clothes.

We were scheduled to have 2 talks on third day
but I forgot the speakers' name though.

Our last day here, it was sad to leave but we had to go.
He was the principal/leader for Gontor Putri.

We met him twice:
First one was when he welcomed us warmly and gave us an introduction of this Gontor.
Second was this one, on our last day. He thanked us for visiting Gontor and gave last speech before we left this calming place.

He was such a nice man, the way he talked to us was like we were his daughters.
He treated us very well and we felt welcome to be here since day 1 to 4.
Thank you Sir!

We ended our visit here by bidding goodbye to them.
On behalf of my university, I would like to thank again for being nice to us.
They even apologized to us if we did not feel comfortable.
Oh my, we were far comfortable staying here.
We learnt many things from this visit, what a fruitful study trip.

They had good manners ofcourse, thank you so much!
May Allah shower them with His blessings and love.

p/s: Is it possible to visit here again one day? 😉

**Correct me if there was any wrong info here as this visit was few years ago.
