Institut Studi Islam Darussalam (ISID) Gontor Pt.1

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

I wanted to share about this place called Gontor where it had an Islamic Institute
Some of you might had known it and some might not been heard about it.

This was my journey with University friends and lecturers to Gontor.
It was an amazing Study Trip where we visited both Institute for Male Student and another for Female Student.

For this post, I would share how we went there from Day 1 until we arrived at Institute for Male Student.

Day 1

Arrived in Solo city, we stayed one night at The Sunan Hotel (Surakata)
It was a nice hotel, very comfortable and a good breakfast provided

Day 2

The next day, we continued our journey to Ponorogo by two vans.
Here some photos i captured how it looked liked.
Obviously it was not a big city, it was more like rural area or small town.

As we entered Gontor, we are amazed by this paddy field.

What a nice and calming view

This was the place where i stayed with other female friends and lecturers as the next day we would continue our journey to Gontor Institute for Female Students.

They called this 'Hotel' and this hotel managed by the students themselves,
from cleaning, preparing the rooms and so on.

I could say this place is nice, comfortable.
Just like other hotel, they provided Air conditioner, TV, hair dryer, iron and many more.
I recommend this place if you guys wanted to visit this place.
But I'm not sure if they are accepting unofficial visit though or it just for official visit.

After taking a rest for awhile, we were brought to to walk around this place and we were given some information about this institute.

Then at night,
we were entertained with these students who got talent with playing musics and instruments, etc.

After that, we had our dinner here.
If I am not mistaken, it was the students who prepared the food too.
They had multi-talents.

This dinner ended our night here and we went back to our individual hotel room.
We took our rest before continuing our visit for the next day.

The next post would be our visit to Pondok Modern Darussalam and some information about it.
I would also share why this place was so special and my view on this.
And Ofcourse, i would share many photos.
So stay tuned!

**Correct me if there is wrong info here as this visit was few years ago.
